Together with Panasonic Neuroactive is another Finnish export on electronic music and it has reserved a lot of interest eg. in Germany, Usa and all the way in Brazil and their songs have appeared in many international compilations. The new album will be released at the same time in whole Europe and the licensing negotiations to North-America are on their way!
Neuroactive have always been the outlaw of electronicmusic. They have never fit into any musical genre although they have mostly gained respect among industrial-fans! The album Phonic Trace serves us familiar danceable Neuroactive sound, which is based on hard rhythms, swinging melodies and soft, moody vocals! The nearest comparisons have always been Front 242 and Clock Dva, but the new album (as the recent Neuron single as well) has also got influences from such artists as The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers. It’s also not a shame to admid that there are certain nuances into Pet Shop Boys or even into Depeche Mode.
Neuroactive’s way from the hardhitting machinebeats of their debut Morphology into the 90’s technosounds of Phonic Trace have reached the prodigy-like perfectionism in all it’s glory.
